A Special Request to all Parents

 

We understand that it is not always possible to be on time in the morning.  However, we request that students be on time.  All classes at the Primary start at 8:15 a.m.  All classes at the Elementary start at 8:00 a.m.  It is very difficult for the students to arrive after class has started.  As any adult who has ever walked into a meeting late knows how this can be very embarrassing.  Children do not yet have the skills to cope with these situations.

All classes begin the school day with circle time to discuss the events of the day.  The children arriving late miss out on class discussions and activities.  It is also sometimes difficult for them to settle down to work after arriving late.

Also, late arrivals are a distraction to the children that arrive on time.  We all know how distracting late arrivals can be! We hope that all students can join us on time.
